Ch 8 Lesser
THE LESSER LIGHT
Aug 09
Judging by the applause of the audience in debates at universities; creationist always win against evolutionist on all subjects ranging from fossils, rock strata, bombardier beetle, mutations, forming of the grand canyon, heat of the earth, radiometric dating, flow of nickel from rivers into the ocean, receding rate of Niagara Falls, the second law of thermodynamics and etc. Then you agree with the secular evolutionists that
the stars are millions of light years away. Light from the stars cannot get to the earth in 6000 years, let alone one day. Creationists have suggested several solutions: the decreasing speed of light, time dilation in outer space and starlight created in transit. Creationists themselves are not happy with any of these solutions and admit that their biggest problem is the size of the universe. They also admit that it is a serious problem.
We “true” Christians sometimes rebuke those Christians who seem to disbelieve certain parts of the Bible. For example, creationists can't understand how someone can say they believe in Jesus, but still deny that God created everything is six literal days. We point out that such people prefer to believe scientists over God. Meanwhile, the “non-believer-in-a-literal-Genesis' says “How can some Christians be blind to scientific reality? Interpreting Genesis literally is not required to be a Christian. Why be so dogmatic over unimportant issues!
All Christians are unbelievers about something. If you asked many Christians if the earth was created before the sun, if Adam could have names all the animals in one day or if the flood covered the whole earth many more Christians would express serious doubts that such things really happened.
We do not want to appear foolish to the world by rejecting what is currently believed by scientists. At the same time, we still want acceptance from God. We figure we can accomplish this feat by believing only what is `necessary' in the Bible. Likewise, how we think about the size of the universe could be preventing us from correctly understanding all that God has said in his word. All scriptures listed are King James.
Psalms 119:70 says, “…but I delight in thy law.” How can we delight in “From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same” (Psalms 113:3), when we know (?) that the earth spins on its axis daily? The truth is that the earth does not turn.
The simple mistake in the 16th century of abandoning geocentricity (the sun going around a stationary earth) and accepting heliocentrism (the earth spinning daily), damaged our viewpoint of the Bible. The King James Bible is openly geocentric. The stationary satellite can be explained just as easily from the geocentric viewpoint.
God said in Psalms 19:1 that “the firmament sheweth his handywork” not the earth or the universe. During creation week God didn't call the 2nd day of creation `good' during that day as he did during every other day. The Holy Spirit omitted `good' on purpose. He is telling us to study very carefully the firmament. AND this occurred before sin entered the world through Adam and Eve. Psalms 119:140 “Thy word is very pure:”
2 Thessalonians 2:10, 11 says, “…because they received not the love of the truth…And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:” We have the truth, but not the desire to defend it at all cost. Science has deluded us to believe in `heliocentrism' which is a lie. There is more! Isaiah 66:4 says, “I also will choose their delusions…because…when I spake, they did not hear” This means when God wrote the scripture, we do not believe it. It also means that there are at least two delusions, heliocentrism and the stars are millions of light years away.
Romans 8: 35, 39 says, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall...height” Science has led us to believe that the height of the stars are millions of light years away from the earth. This is a direct contradiction to God's word.
The following supplies the last fact necessary to completely eliminate the theory of evolution.
A Relatively Small Universe
(Creationist and the secular world do not accept geocentricity, but God's Word does)
The drawing below condenses the size of the universe 23,250 times (93,000X2/8,000)
from that which we hear about from the news media.
What is the all powerful, overwhelming evidence that the earth is turning daily? Nothing, nothing at all. See: www.geocentricbible.com/proof
The subject of geocentricity alone shrinks the size of the universe from the heliocentric position. However, God's power is not reduced. Instead, the power of His word is greatly increased, with much more meaning. We know that secular scientists believe the stars are millions of light years away. "Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away" (Luke 21:33). We are going to live forever in eternity with the words of God, not the opinion of scientist.
“The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old” (Proverbs 8:22). The Lord's “way” was prior to His “works.” “Way” means `direction of motion.' This means that the glory of God who is “light” (1 John 1:5), was moving. This could have been a “prepared the light” (Psalms 74:16) which was moving. Geocentricity is indicated at “the beginning” in Gen. 1:1. At the end of day one, the Spirit of God, Who was covered “with light, as with a garment” (Psalms 104:2), was the only source of light moving in relationship to a stationary earth. This movement initiated time, making the creation of time `earth-centric. Geocentricity is well established on the very first day.
The fourth day of creation repudiates any notion of heliocentricity. Since time had previously been determined by the movement of light around the earth, hermeneutics demands that time still be determined by the movement of light, whatever its source, around the earth.
Fire
Psalms 29: 7 says, “The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire.” When looking at drawings of fire, we always see 2 points. One part of fire is magnetism as Webster's 1828 dictionary defines: one of the causes of magnetism or electromagnetism. The other part of fire is the `prepared light.' Where did this happen and when? In the beginning the Lord created light (or fire) in Genesis 1:3 and he divided it into two parts. One part started revolving around the universe at a speed of 1023 times per second to give atomic structure to the universe. The second part of light, called the `prepared light' began to revolve around the earth once daily. Supporting this is; "By what way is the light parted...?" (Job 38:24). The sun will take the place of the prepared light on the 4th day. So, there is a reason or purpose in every verse. Isaiah 14: 26, 27 says, “This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth…For the Lord of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it?” Purpose means an end which is set to be reached.

Is the universe expanding? “Thus saith God the Lord, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth…” (Isaiah 42:5). God stretched out the heavens only during the first second of creation. "It is he (God)... that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in" (Isaiah 40:22). Curtains stretch but tents do not. These verses do not indicate continuous expansion as secular science teaches us. In looking at Psalms 136:6 we find, "To him that stretched out the earth." The earth was stretched out, yet has a limited size and is not expanding. As the earth is not expanding, so neither is the heavens. Whoever heard of a continually expanding tent? Scripture tells us that "...thou hadst formed the earth and the world (universe) (Psalms 90:2). God formed the earth and it is the same size as it was in the beginning. The universe, also, is the same size as it was in the beginning and it has a limit. Isaiah 40:12 says, “Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span…” Websters Dictionary says `mete' means to measure, but the 1828 Websters Dictionary, adds `limit' to the definition. which is a little closer to the truth in the King James Bible.
"And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud; and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire" (Rev. 10:1). The rainbow, being upon his head, is above his face (which represents the sun). This shows that rainbows exist beyond the sun as well as in the atmosphere.
Both Lights Apply to the Stars
"And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also” (Genesis 1:16, 17). By including “the stars,” the moon is the lesser light for the entire universe; the distance to “the uttermost part of the heaven” (Nehemiah 1: 9). Genesis through Deut. are the books of law, but the first chapter of Genesis is the law before sin entered the world. This is foundational truth. The supporting is: “And from the bottom upon the ground…and from the lesser settle even to the greater settle” (Ezekiel 43:14). Both the lesser and greater settle apply to the same “bottom” (base) of the altar. This alone tells us the distance to the stars. “But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God” (1 Cor. 2:10). The stars are the deepest thing, the farthest away, of anything in the universe. Scripture has told us the distance to the stars. “For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure” (Job 11:4).
(My opinion only - No one that believes in geocentricity accepts the following - comments for or against are welcome)
In Genesis 1:1, God `the Word' came in spoken form (Psalms 33:6, 9) then in human form, and then in written form. After the resurrection “he (Jesus) hath said, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee” (Heb 13:5). Forsake, means: leave entirely. Jesus, who is the Word, left physically, but the `word' stayed here in written form. When Jesus died the Word instantly transferred from the cross to the top of the veil; “And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom” (Mark 15: 38). The 'Word' never left.
The Holy Spirit has guided us in every century since then, up to and including the present. “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth” (John 16:13). Now we are in the very presence of God containing not the image of God, but the Word of God. Only written words can come close to accurately communicating the nature of God.
The phrase `the third time' raises the issue of Paul's visits to Corinth. The first visit occurred in Acts 18:1, but what about the second? 2 Cor. 13:2 says, “I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them…” The second visit was a letter not a personal visit! The letter Paul wrote is the same as his being there in person! What is the greater application of these verses?
Christ “the Word” (John 1:1) came in person the first time, but in the written form the second time in the King James Bible! The written word (scripture) is interchangeable with the Living Word. A minister wrote: the main theme of the Bible is Jesus. No, the main theme of the Bible is the Word. How? Jesus was with God before the beginning, but so was the Word. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1). If the Word was God it still is God, it can't be destroyed, it is eternal. The word is still here in written form.
"[God] sealeth up the stars" (Job 9:7). He didn't seal up the sun or the moon. We know the distance to the sun and moon. But, only scripture can make the final decision to tell us the distance to the stars. The shields could be thick or thin, concave or convex; making any individual star appear either closer or farther away than it is. Job 25:5 “the stars are not pure in his sight.” `Not pure' means not separate from different kinds of matter. Supporting this is Job 15:15 says, “yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.” Clean means to separate extraneous matter. `Not clean' means this matter or substance is in the heavens. This means that the stars are connected to the shields; in any type of arrangement God so chooses! “there is no searching of his understanding” (Isaiah 40:28). Everything depends on how the Lord set up each star with its shield.
We “are sealed unto the day of redemption” (Ephesians 4:30). Job 9:7 says “and sealeth up the stars “ One seal is as good as the next. We do not want our seal to break; neither can the seal between the earth and the stars broken to find the distance to the stars. Only scripture reveals the true distance.
The Lord has put a shield in front of each star and each shield has a different color of the rainbow. Different color shields affect the brightness of the star behind it. Acts 20:20 says, “And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you…” Indeed, God has provided us with the information we need and has told us the approximate distance to the stars; which completely refutes evolution. “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter.” (Proverbs 25:2). If we search scripture, we can find the distance to the stars.
Why did the scientists think the stars were millions of light years away? Because they didn't notice and concentrate on: “For the Lord God is a sun and shield” (Psalm 84:11). This says that some shields are out as far as the sun. Psalms 47:9 says, “shields of the earth belong unto God.” Shields are on the earth, but they are also above the earth. So where is the truth found? Psalms 91:4 says, “his truth shall be thy shield.” Only God's word in the King James scripture contains the truth.
Jeremiah 48:7 says, “For because thou hast trusted in thy works…thou shalt also be taken…into captivity with…his princes (scientist) together.” We have put too much trust in the god of science and their imaginations and not enough in His word. “For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth” (Psalms 33:4). God's word takes precedence over any other supposed `facts of science.' Job 42:5 says, “but now mine eye seeth thee (the Lord). We do not physically see God, but spiritually when we understand every verse of scripture: “but they that seek the Lord understand all things” (Proverbs 28:5). “Through thy precepts I get understanding” (Psalms 119:104). “Children…skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science” (Daniel 1:4). In the past people understood the truth that the sun revolves around the earth daily.
Isaiah 65:24 says, “…before they call, I will answer.” The Lord knew that we need to know the size of the universe and has given us the answer in scripture. God did not tell even Jesus, himself, the day of the end of time (Mt. 24:35), but we do not have to know that. The size of the universe is the one and only item evolutionist have going for them. Isaiah 45:11, 12 says, “Thus saith the LORD…Ask me of things…concerning the work of my hands command ye me. I have made the earth, and… I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens…” The Lord would not have invited us to ask him what the size of the universe is if he was not going to tell us the answer. Ecc. 7:24 says, “That which is far off, and exceeding deep, who can find it out?” The only way to know some things is from scripture. 1 Timothy 2:7 says, “the Lord give thee understanding in all things.” `All things' includes the size of the universe. Isaiah 7:12 says, “Ask thee a sign of the Lord thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.” According to Ezekiel 14: 8, the word `sign' means “…a sign and a proverb…” A proverb expresses the truth. So we can `ask the truth from God concerning the height of the stars or distance from the earth to the stars
Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Luke 11:13 “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” “for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him” (Matt 6:8). The Lord knows that to really refute evolution; to totally convince atheist, we need all the answers, not just 99%. So the Lord has supplied our needs with the approximate distance to the stars, which is exactly what we need. “But my God shall supply all your need…” (Phil 4:19).
Job 13:22 says, “Then call thou, and I will answer: or let me speak, and answer thou me.” The application is: If we ask God the size of the universe, He will tell us the answer. Job 19:23, 24 says, “Oh that my words were now written! Oh that they were printed in a book! That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!” God's words were not written on perishable material, but on tablets of stone with a pen of iron. They are permanently available.
“Lo, I come (in the volume of the book, it is written of me)” (Hebrews 10: 7). Even though there are 100 paraphrases, we do have the exact words God wants us to have. They are found in the King James Bible only. The Lord has “magnified” his word (Ps 138:2) and He has told us to “diminish not a word” (Jer 26:2). But that is what we have done with the NIV, NASV and others which dilute his words. John 12:48 says, “…the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.” We can't be judged by “every word” (Matt. 4:4), if we don't have every word. In Old Testament times, they had absolutely every word. 1 Kings 8:56, 57 says, “Blessed be the Lord…according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word…The Lord our God be with us… let him not leave us…” They had every exact word and so do we. Now, at the present time, he hasn't left us. He's still here is written form.
Acts 27:25 says, “…for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.” Most people believe in God, but it's a different thing altogether to believe God. The verse makes it clear that believing God simply means believing what He says. God does not speak to us audibly now as He did in the past, but He does speak far more comprehensively to us through His written word. We have even less excuse for unbelief than the apostle Paul.
How far is the Voyager 1 rocket from the earth? The secular scientists write that it is 9.5 billion miles from the earth. It started out on a certain date at a known speed which equals a certain distance. How accurate is this? How far out does the Lord say the rocket is in scripture? “I will instruct thee…I will guide thee with mine eye (Psalms 32:8). Let's look through scripture instead of a telescope for final authority. Perhaps the Voyager rocket is no further out than 1 billion miles or less. How could this be? Wheels on a car turn at a certain speed on a highway and the car maintains a steady speed, but if the car drives into “quicksand” (Acts 27:17), the wheels spin at the same rate yet the car slows down.
“There are also celestial bodies and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory” (1 Cor. 15:40, 41). If one star is different from another star, then most certainly terrestrial bodies are different from celestial bodies. Skipping to verse 48, “As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly” Man made objects (earthy) are on the earth. But, “terrestrial,” in the context of the sun, moon and stars, shows that man made objects are also out in the universe.
The Lord has set the heavens to react differently to terrestrial bodies, such as Voyager 1 as well as radio signals, than a celestial body such as the sun, moon, stars and planets. Preposterous! We have let scientist and their talk about gravity, mass and density to overrule the Lord. Let's look at scripture. Luke 1:20 says, “…because thou believest not my words…” We need to take a lesson from Zechariah and learn to believe God can do anything He wants to do. We are dealing with the Lord God, who is very, very jealous of His word, the words of scripture. Computers condense lots of information in a very small space and God has put even more information in each word.
Isaiah 55:8, 9 says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” All physical knowledge of the universe must be subjugated to the Bible. Only scripture can tell us the actual truth as to the distance to the stars. Psalms 92:5 says, “O Lord how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.” The thoughts of God became His words, where He tells us what He did. To really know the distance to the far end of the universe, we need to understand and correctly apply every word. There are 773,693 words in the King James Version. We cannot afford to ignore or bypass any word; a daunting task.
After traveling a certain distance, the rocket encounters “the hoary frost of heaven” (Job 38:29). Frost is in the cirrus clouds of the atmosphere, but also further into outer space. Let's remember, God can do anything he wants to. The farther the rocket goes into the `frost' the thicker and slicker it gets, thereby also decreasing the speed of the rocket. According to the calculator, the rocket has traveled, perhaps 100,000 miles in 10 days; when the truth is that it has traveled perhaps only 2-300 miles. The same is true also of radio signals even though radio signals travel much faster than rockets. Their speed also decreases the farther out in space they travel. God has set up the heavens to react differently to terrestrial objects, rockets and radio signals, than to celestial objects. The hoary frost does not affect the movement of celestial objects; the sun, moon stars and planets.
Job 38:30 says, “The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.” The context of verses 29 & 30 indicates the heavens, not the ocean are referred to, so stones are in the second heaven. The phrase, “the deep is frozen” says that the end of heaven is so solid that nothing can penetrate it. Genesis 49:25 says "...blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under..." This tells us the deep is just above the firmament at the outer edge of the second heaven, the end of the universe, and just below the third heaven where God's power and electromagnetism, which holds the universe together, are located. (See: Ch. 5 www.geocentricbible.com #7)
Daniel 2: 22 says, “He revealeth the deep and secret things” By understanding and using all scripture; God has told us the approximate size of the universe. And vs. 29, “he (God) that revealeth secrets” This scripture also has a future application. Our Bible tells us what we need to know, if only we will work with, use and correctly apply various verses of scripture. Deuteronomy 29: 29 says, “The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us…that we may do all the words of this law.” The correct distance to the end of the universe, to the very last mile, is known only by the Lord; but He has given us the approximate distance if we will only study and believe the words of scripture. “He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7).
The evolutionists believe the stars are billions of light years from the earth. Creationists accept this viewpoint and then try to match their viewpoint of a young earth with the evolutionists. They compromise. They say time dilation will take care of the problem. They haven't noticed Daniel 7:25, “And he shall…think to change times and laws.” This is a negative statement. Time dilation in outer space is not a good idea. They need to look a second time at more scriptures.
How far out are the furthermost stars? The words `solar system' are not found in scripture (see p. 17, HE MAKETH HIS SUN TO RISE by Thomas Strouse. Order from: Assoc. for
Biblical Astronomy, 4527 Wetzel Ave, Cleveland, OH 44109 gbouw@bw.edu
Neither is the word `galaxy.' Job 38: 31 says, “Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?” This describes the combination of stars into a constellation. Combinations of stars are constellations, not galaxies. Isaiah 13:10 says, “For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof…the sun…and the moon” By including the words: stars, constellations and the moon in the same sentence, the author, the Holy Spirit is telling us again (1st time-Gen. 1:16) that the moon is the lesser light for the entire universe. Do galaxies really exist? The following is how they started according to the book of `Popular Science.' Immanuel Kant advanced the theory that the celestial objects observed as faint, hazy patches of light and called nebulae were really systems of stars. Later, many of the irregular, diffuse nebulae (such as the one in the constellation Orion) were composed, not of stars, but of extremely rarefied gas.

Notice above what is called a galaxy. The “Great Nebula” is slightly down from the upper right hand corner. The constellation “Orion” is at the center on the bottom. In reality, the galaxy Great Nebula, is just an ordinary group of stars.
What else do the scriptures say? The scriptures further explain or define what this means. Psalms 89:34-37 says, “My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David. His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me. It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven.” The seed of Israel and the seed of David are the same thing. The moon also is a witness to the distance of the outmost stars. The moon has something to say about the size of the universe. The Lord, the Holy Spirit, who guided us to all truth (John 16:13), and cannot lie, (vs. 35) will not alter what he has inspired to be written.
Where is the line marking the end of the universe? Notice that the earth is not mentioned at all on day four. Jupiter, 390 million miles from the earth, has 4 moons comparable in size to our moon. These moons are mere points of light as seen from the earth with binoculars. The speed of light is 186,000 miles per second. This speed times 60 seconds per minute times 30 minutes is about 350 million miles from the earth. With the earth in the center of the universe, the distance to the outermost stars is, perhaps about 400-800 million miles. Are the heavens being measured? No. If we miss the correct distance by millions of miles, we have not accurately measured the universe; but we do have an approximate size, which is what we so very much need.
The evolution-creation argument will never be solved scientifically. We need to use the superweapon of God's words, given to us in scripture.
Jeremiah 31:37 says, “…If the heavens above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done” This will never happen, so the heavens cannot be measured. But, notice that the verb “can be measured” is the Niphal imperfect plural form of madad. In Ruth 3:15 Boaz “measured (madad) six measures of barley.” This is an accurate measurement, but in Jeremiah 31:37 the verb is Niphal, which is approximate measurement.
Ezekiel 40:3 says, “…with a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed” The footnote says: This “line” of flax was flexible for approximate measurement of long distances, whereas the reed, or rod was stiff for accurate measurement of short distances. This means that distances can be measured in 2 different ways; either by, “flax” or by “a measuring reed.” Job 38:5 says, “who hath stretched the line upon it?”
The line of flax will stretch because it is flexible. However, the reed will not stretch.
Job 38:4 mentions “foundations of the earth” and continuing with verse 5 “Who hath laid the measures thereof…or who hath stretched the line upon it?” This shows that the flexible line of flax has measured large distances. The context of Psalms 19:1- 4 is; “The heavens…Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them (the heavens) hath he set a tabernacle for the sun.” The measuring line of flax has measured the universe. Can we be sure? Yes.
Matthew 12:20 says, “A bruised reed shall he not break and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.” The Lord Jesus Christ knows that there are two different ways of measuring and they must be dealt with and not ignored. The Lord knows the distance to the outermost stars; “Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth and my right hand hath spanned the heavens” (Isaiah 48:13) and has given us the answer in scripture.
“They” (vs.14) refers to Job 38:33 which says, “Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven?” “Ordinances' are the moon and stars. Verse 31 has “sweet influences of Pleiades, or loosed the bands of Orion?” It is remarkable that the expression “sweet” is used. This is the very word engineers use this word in describing the smooth working of complex machinery. Machinery is a unit all connected together. Stars in constellation Pleiades are bound together gravitationally. Stars in the constellation Orion are not so bound. This means that there is more that one way God can bind the moon and stars together.
Isaiah 34:16 says “Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read: no one (no verse) of these shall fail, none shall want her mate.” Every verse has another verse to further explain or support it. A theory cannot be built on one verse only. The “mate” is Job 11:7, 8, 9 which says, “Canst thou by searching find out God? Canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection? It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?
The Lord wants us to “search out a matter. The heaven for height, and the earth for depth” (Proverbs 25:2, 3). “That search may be made in the book of the records” (Ezra 4:15). What is possible to find out by searching scripture? Deut. 29:29 says, “The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us…that we may do all the words of this law.” The scriptures have revealed some facts which cannot be overlooked.
Putting all of this together, we have:
heavens - measured; earth - searched (Jeremiah 31:37)
heaven - searching; earth - measure (Job 11:7-9) just the opposite
What is the Lord telling us? The earth's radius is well established. We know the size of the earth “unto perfection” (Job 11:7). We cannot know the absolute, totally accurate size of the heavens as we do the earth. However, we can know the approximate size, which is what God wants us to know. To do this, we need to consider all of the following scriptures.
Where is the end located? On the earth, the temple is larger than the tabernacle. Therefore, in heaven the temple extends beyond the tabernacle. Psalms 19:4, 6 says, "…In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun. His going forth is from the end of heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it” The sun's heat extends only to the end of the tabernacle. The sun is out 93 million miles and with the end of the universe at about 400-800 million miles. This makes the sun fairly close to “the midst of heaven” (Joshua 10:13).
Psalms 43:3 says, “O send out thy light and thy truth…let them lead me…to thy tabernacles.” The light of God's Word leads us to the actual truth, the final answer, as to the distance to the outermost stars located at the end of the tabernacle. Rev. 7:15, 16 says, “and serve him day and night in his temple…neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat." These 3 verses mark the line at the end of the universe.

The outermost stars are at the end of the tabernacle. Several scriptures also connect the tabernacle to the moon. How? Numbers 1:50, 53 says, “…the tabernacle of testimony…the tabernacle of testimony…keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony…” Webster's 1828 Dictionary says that testimony means witness or proof of some fact and the moon is “a faithful witness in heaven” (Psalms 89:37). So the moon is also connected to the tabernacle. The moon is telling us the approximate distance to the “uttermost part of heaven” (Mark 13:27), where the most distant stars are located. The moon is telling us the approximate size of the universe. The Lord through his word has told us the ballpark size of the universe. This is information that we desperately need to have.
Rev. 8: 1 "…there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour." Sometimes the meanings to words change. The 1828 Webster's Dictionary gets back to the meaning 400 years ago and in it `silence' means `stop.' This means heaven, which had revolved around the earth since the beginning, stopped rotating. The Lord now tells us how long light from stars took to be seen on the earth; one half an hour on day four! The speed of light is 186,000 miles per second. This times 30 minutes is about 350 million miles from the earth. The text says “about.” The moons close to Jupiter are 390 million miles, so this fits with scripture. Job 29: 21 says, “Unto me men gave ear and waited, and kept silence at my counsel.” The Lord has given the approximate size of the universe.
Rev. 3:18 is directed toward the Laodicea, lukewarm church and says, “…annoit thine eyes, with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.” This is not written to those outside the church, but to those inside. The point is for Christians to use and apply all scripture, every phrase and every word. Colossians 2:1, 2 says, “…for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh…and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ.” To see accurately, we must understand every word.
1 Peter 2:8 says, “A stone of stumbling…even to them which stumble at the word…” When we ignore `words' or fail to correctly apply scripture in the right place, we are stumbling over what God wants us to know. “Is not my word like as a fire? saith the Lord” (Jeremiah 23:29). Sometimes, we have to see how a word is used in all the rest of the Bible in order to understand the meaning. Psalms 33:13, 15 says, “The Lord looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men…he considereth all their works.” God is well aware of radio signals and rockets going into the universe. “Because they regard not the works of the Lord, nor the operation of his hands…” (Psalms 28:5). Scientist should also be aware that scripture reveals God's works.
In the future we know: “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven” (Phil.2:10). It is also true, even right now, that all physical objects and forces are subjugated to the words of God. Everything physical must submit to scripture. Why? We are dealing with God, who is very good at creating miracles and at the same time, very jealous of his word. “His word was in mine heart as a burning fire…” (Jeremiah 20:9). We have to deal with and correctly apply every word and phrase. “For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God” (Deut. 4:24). It is much better to be refined with the fire of God's words now while He is near.
Psalms 103:22 says, “Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion…” His dominion includes outer space and the “hoary frost of heaven” (Job 38:29). There are all too many phrases `supposedly' with no meaning; “they have made void thy law.” (Psalms 119:126). Psalms 119:33 says, “Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.” God's words tell us the real truth.

“The line of confusion” (Isaiah 34:11) line marks the end of the universe. Are the outermost stars millions of light years away or are they about 9 to 12 light hours from the earth as God's word, which is eternal (John 1:1), says? When rockets and radio signals get a certain distance from the earth they encounter “the stones of emptiness” (Isaiah 34:1l) and “the stones of fire” (Ezekiel 28:16) which slow down their speed. “The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord's: but the earth hath he given to the children of men” (Psalms 115:16). On the earth and into the atmospheric heaven; rockets and radio signals; all travel at a known speed. The speed is measured precisely and accurately.
Scientist can accurately determine the distance to objects on the earth using trigonometry or sound waves, but it is quite a different problem in the heavens.
Men cannot determine the distance to a star in outer space by looking through a telescope. Why? It is God's realm. Understanding things on the earth is far different than understanding the heavens. This territory is known only by the Lord. We cannot possibly know “the works of God” (Ps 66:5) unless he tell us through scripture. God's word is the final authority; especially in heavens, not the imaginations of scientists. Only scripture tells the answer. Do we really have to pay attention to “the stones of emptiness” (Isaiah 34:1l)? Yes. The heavens are not empty, but decorated with stones. Job 26:13 says, “By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens” with stones; as 2 Chronicles 3:6 explains, “And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty”
The Lord had only to speak; “Peace, be still” (Mark 4:39) and the elements changed completely. All physical forces and objects must submit to scripture. “And that he (God) would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is!” (Job 11: 6). Scientist thought they had all the information available to make an accurate decision, but God's word adds information that they hadn't considered.
Psalms 119:18 says, “Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.” Psalms 75: 1 says, “for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.” God's name represents God himself. God's works, his “shields” and “stones” affect everything coming their way. In addition to “shields” and “stones” there is “sackcloth” for rockets and radio signals to go through. Isaiah 50:3 says, “I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.” The Lord is fully capable of creating anything that he wants. The “sackcloth” may extend all the way to the end of the universe. The speed of the rockets and radio signals are permanently slowed down. This indicates that the stars are relatively close. Our only hope to know the truth is to not only believe in God, but to believe God and what he has written.
Deut 30: 11, 12, 14 says, “For this commandment (the word of God which is the actual words of God) which I command thee this day…neither is it far off…Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us… But thy word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth” Rom 10:6, 8 says, “Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)…The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart” Notice that the question is: who will ascend into heaven and bring both the Word and Christ down to us. Notice that the Word and Christ are interchangeable. They are both equal. This means that we have the same as Christ right now in the King James scripture
2 Cor. 10:5 says, “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” Scientist imagine that the stars are millions of light years in the distance; not considering what scripture says. Jeremiah 23:16, 17 says, “Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you…they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the Lord. They say…unto everyone that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.” God and his word are the final authority; the outermost stars are not millions of light years away.
Proverbs 6:18, 19 says, “…doth the Lord hate…An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations…” and “despiseth the word…” (Proverbs 13:13). 1 Chron. 28:9 says, “…for the Lord…understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts…” This applies to the secular world.
The following is talking about Israel, but it also has an application. Psalms 78:56, 58 says, “Yet they tempted and provoked the most high God… For they provoked him to anger with their high places.” Scientist say the stars are millions of light years away, but God, who controls the heavens, is telling us the stars are only about 12 light hours away, the approximate distance to the stars. The subject is God's actual words having the final authority; “the certainty of the words of truth” (Proverbs 22:21). God's words, as revealed in scripture, have dominion over the speculations of scientists. Prudence differs from wisdom is that prudence implies more caution than wisdom. Luke 10:21 says, “Jesus rejoiced…O Father…that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and has revealed them unto babes.” My opinion is:
Jesus didn't rejoice with salvation, His bride or the conversion of sinners, but he rejoiced
about telling Bible scholars what they needed to know, but refused to accept.
In Webster's 1828 Dictionary `prudent' means cautious not to act when the end is doubtful. A prudent person is cautious and will not act too fast, which is good; but when
examining certain verses, they are a little too cautious and miss extremely important information. Babes believe all scripture on face value and realize the King James Bible is God in written form.
Isaiah 5:21 says, “Woe unto them that are…prudent in their own sight!” This applies to bible scholars, preachers and bible college professors, who are very careful with scripture, but are still overlooking 10 or 15 verses. “they seeing see not…neither do they understand” (Matt 13:13). One the definitions of sight means knowledge.
Proverbs 8: 8 - 12 says, “All the words of my mouth are in righteousness, there is nothing forward or perverse in them. They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge. Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.” We need to use extra caution when deciding to go against the wisdom of the Lord as revealed in scripture. “Yet a small number…shall know whose words shall stand, mine or theirs” (Jeremiah 44:28); God's words or the false words of scientist. We now have “perfect understanding of all things" (Luke 1:3) and “know all things” (1 John 2:20). We know the approximate distance to the stars and that galaxies do not exist. Psalms 108:4 says, “For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.” We have a clear choice; scientist or the word of God which contains the words of God.
Isaiah 40: 13 “Who hath directed the Spirit of the Lord, or being his counsellor hath taught him?” At the present time, the science has corrected God; but “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes” (scientist) Psalms 118:9. Proverbs 22:20 says, “Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge.” The first day of creation (Genesis 1:1-5) clearly shows geocentricity. Now we can easily “approve things that are excellent” (Philippians 1:10). God's word in Genesis 1:1- 19 is excellent, especially so because this was before sin entered the world in Genesis 3:1. The 1828 Webster's Dictionary says; approve means to prove, to show to be true and to prove by trial. The physical evidence proves geocentricity and the spiritual evidence in the King James Bible proves a relatively small universe. The spiritual evidence is “spiritually discerned” (1 Cor. 2: 14) which means to see or understand the difference between two or more “things not seen” (Heb. 11: 1).
Nehemiah 8:8 says, “So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.” `Sense'means meaning; or understanding. The word `meaning' means that which is to be understood; the significance, the purpose; the sense. The Lord has indeed supplied us with “all knowledge” (1 Cor 13:2) to understand the approximate distance to the stars. “Do not interpretations belong to God?” (Gen 40:8). `Interpret' means to give the sense; to explain the meaning of words; lay open what is concealed from the understanding.
In scripture, the Holy Spirit has explained every word and where it applies.
The Lord God has given us complete knowledge concerning the approximate size of the universe. We do not have to guess. Every word applies in a particular place to explain something that we need, but it requires study and searching to find where it is. Why? Because it is hid, as Proverbs 2:4, 5 says, “If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures…Then shalt thou…find the knowledge of God.”
The term “light” can be applied to the intellectual, moral and physical realm. “The god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not…” (2 Cor. 4:4). This is the intellectual realm followed by the moral realm: “For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord…” (Ephesians 5:8). The physical realm: “In thy light shall we see light.” (Psalms 36:9). In the light of scripture (God's word) we `see' the light from stars. We understand; we know the approximate distance to the stars. God's word takes precedence over the force of gravity, the redshift or anything else scientist come up with. Only in the light of God's word do we understand the true distance to the stars. The exact distance? No, the approximate distance, which is what the Lord wants us to know. I Cor. 1:25 says, “Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.” Science deals with the physical universe and with natural phenomena. It cannot be expected to cope with supernatural phenomena.
Lamentations 3:37 says, “Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?” To what does this apply? It cannot be geocentricity because God commanded the sun to stop as Job 9:7 says, “Which commandeth the sun and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars.” What did the Lord say in the written record, that scientist so strongly disagree with? God `commanded not' in Job 36:32, but this applies to a cloudy day; “With clouds he covereth the light; and commandeth it not to shine by the cloud that cometh betwixt.” So, what is left? It is simply that scientist are adamant in proclaiming that the stars are millions of light years away.
Jer 14:14 “Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name…neither have I commanded them…they prophesy unto you a false vision…” The idea that looking through a telescope will prove that the stars are millions of light years away is false. “If ye continue in my word…the truth shall make you free” (John 8:31, 32). We are now free from all the speculations of science.
COMPREHEND
Isaiah 40:12, 13, 14 says, “Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure…Who…being his counselor hath taught him?” The word, mete, means to measure, to ascertain the dimensions; to limit. The means the 2nd heaven has a limit, not the 3rd heaven where God's throne is located. Span means `in measure.' Span has to do with distance.
So, has God indicated that we are supposed to comprehend, to know the size of the universe? Wait a second. Job 37:5 says, “great things doeth he (God), which we cannot comprehend.” What is the final answer? Ephesians 3:17-19 says, “that ye…May be able to comprehend…what is the height; And to know the love of Christ” If it is possible for us to understand the height of the love of Christ, which is infinite, it is should be relatively easy to know the approximate distance to the stars, which is finite. The universe in finite, only God is infinite, “his (God's) understanding is infinite” (Psalms 147:5). The mate, the supporting verse that explains the verse in question is; “For I am persuaded, that neither…principalities, nor powers…Nor height…shall be able to separate us from the love of God” (Roman 8:38, 39). `Principalities' means a sovereign power that tells us something without proof. At the present time, we have let the false claim that the height of the outermost stars are millions of light years away, separate us from the full power of God, and his words in scripture.
The only real toe hold evolutionist have against creationist is that the outer most stars are millions of light years away. Scripture has told us differently. Psalms 104:2 says, “who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain” Curtains fold out, but they do have a limit. So the heavens have a limit, a boundary. Isaiah 40:13 says, “Who hath directed the Spirit of the Lord, or being his counsellor hath taught him?” Someday, the viewpoint of science will be cast away.
Isaiah 28:10 says, “For precept must be upon precept…line upon line” the Hebrew word for precept is `tsav' and this means `commandment' The second precept is from the Hebrew word `tsavah' and means `set in order' “line upon line means `a measuring cord' The idea is that everything must be measured by the Word of God. No other measurement will be accepted. God drew a line marking the boundary of the universe. The stars are only a certain distance from the earth and no further. God expects us to believe EXACTLY as He said.
The top drawing shows how the Lord created the universe.
The bottom drawing shows the false theory the secular world wants us to believe.
Isaiah 30:15 says, “Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the Lord, and their works are in the dark” One of the meanings of dark is, destitute of learning and science. True science must come from scripture. The secular world thinks, falsely, that the stars are deep into outer space. Scientist idea that the stars are millions of light years away, shows their ignorance of scripture.
So; the words "the greater” and “the lesser” (Genesis 1:16, 17) apply to the same outermost stars. Why? Because the words `small' and `less' are synonymous; the word small means little which means less. So wherever scripture says “great and small” it applies also to greater and lesser. Throughout scripture the words `great' and `small' apply to the same thing.
Deut. 25:13 “bag of divers weights, a great and a small.”
Deut. 25:14 “divers measures, a great and a small.”
Job 37:6 “the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain”
Both `great' and `small' have the same relationship to: a bag of weights, various weights and the earth. So God's word says that the moon, the lesser light has the same relationship to the outermost stars as the sun does.
